JWTZ Recruitment 2026 Announced for Youth from Form Four to Degree Level
The Tanzania People’s Defence Force (JWTZ) has announced its 2026 recruitment exercise, opening enlistment opportunities for qualified Tanzanian youth from Form Four leavers up to university graduates. The announcement invites eligible candidates to apply for entry into the national military service under clearly defined conditions and procedures.
According to the official notice, the recruitment exercise is aimed at strengthening the force while also equipping selected recruits with both military training and professional development skills. Eligibility Criteria for Applicants
Applicants must be Tanzanian citizens by birth and must be in good physical and mental health. They are also required to have good conduct and must not have any criminal record or court convictions.
Age requirements have been clearly stated. Form Four and Form Six graduates must not exceed 25 years of age, while applicants with higher education qualifications must not exceed 28 years.
Candidates must also possess original birth certificates and valid academic certificates. Individuals who have previously served in institutions such as the Police Force, Prisons, or other security agencies are not eligible to apply. However, graduates of the National Service (JKT) are encouraged to apply, except those currently serving in camps.

Application Process and Submission Requirements
All applications must be written by hand and submitted to the JWTZ Headquarters in Msalato, Dodoma. The application period runs from April 15 to April 28, 2026.
Applicants are required to attach essential documents, including a copy of the National ID or NIDA number, birth certificate, academic certificates, and a valid phone number for communication. JKT graduates must also include their completion certificate.
