PCCB Announces 500 New Job Vacancies in Tanzania
The Tanzania’s Prevention and Combating of Corruption Bureau PCCB Also known as TAKUKURU has announced 500 new job vacancies for qualified Tanzanians as part of efforts to strengthen the fight against corruption at district level across the country. The announcement has opened up significant employment opportunities for young professionals and skilled applicants in various fields.
According to the official notice, the announced positions includes 250 Investigation Officers and 250 Assistant Investigators who will be deployed in district offices nationwide. The move is expected to enhance operational capacity and improve the delivery of anti-corruption services across Tanzania.

TAKUKURU has confirmed that the recruitment is aimed at reinforcing anti-corruption operations across all district offices. For Investigation Officer positions, applicants must hold a three-year Advanced Diploma or a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized institution. Accepted fields include Accounting, Architecture, Community Development, Engineering disciplines, Computer Science, Business Administration, Economics, Procurement, Project Management, Human Resource Management, Public Administration, Statistics, and other related professional areas. Applicants must have at least a lower second class pass and strong computer literacy skills. Registration with a professional board will be an added advantage.
For Assistant Investigator roles, applicants are required to hold qualifications ranging from Basic Certificates to Diplomas depending on the area of specialization. These include Security training, Driving (with valid Class C license), Motor Vehicle Mechanics, Accounting, Secretarial Studies, Office Assistance, Computer Technician skills, and Office Machine Technician training.

Age Limits and General Requirements
Applicants for Investigation Officer positions must not be older than 29 years as of May 2026, while Assistant Investigator applicants must not exceed 26 years of age by the same period.
All applicants are required to demonstrate high integrity and must have no criminal record. Candidates who were previously dismissed or terminated from public service are not eligible to apply.
In addition, applicants must submit certified copies of academic certificates, birth certificates, a valid CV, and a National Identification Number (NIDA). Each applicant is also required to provide details of three reliable referees.
TAKUKURU has warned that providing false information or forged documents will lead to automatic disqualification and legal action.
Application Procedure and Deadline
All applications must be submitted through TAKUKURU’s electronic recruitment system. The institution has clearly stated that handwritten or postal applications will not be accepted.
Applicants are required to address their applications to the Director General of TAKUKURU at the headquarters in Dodoma. Each application must include a handwritten application letter written in either English or Kiswahili.
The deadline for submitting applications is May 3, 2026. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for further stages of the recruitment process.
