2026/2027 LUANAR Selection Results Malawi – Selected Students Announced
The Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) has officially released the 2026/2027 LUANAR Public Universities Selection List – Malawi, confirming the names of candidates selected to pursue various undergraduate degree programmes for the upcoming academic year.
The announcement marks an important step in the Malawi University Selection 2026/2027, as LUANAR is among the key public institutions admitting students based on merit and government policy.

LUANAR Selection Results Overview
According to the university, a total of 1,702 candidates have been selected for the 2026/2027 academic year. Of these, 485 are female students, representing 28%, while 1,217 are male students, accounting for 72%.
The selection process was conducted based on merit, in line with the Government policy of admitting students into public higher education institutions. The university also considered affirmative action on gender and disability, ensuring inclusivity during the selection process.
In addition, candidates’ programme choices and the required subject combinations for each course were taken into account when determining final placements.
Admission Policy and Study Mode
LUANAR has confirmed that all selected students will be enrolled as self-sponsored and non-residential. This follows the Government policy of admitting students based on available classroom space rather than accommodation capacity.
This approach aligns with broader efforts seen in the Malawi University Selection 2026/2027, where institutions are expanding access to higher education through structured admission policies.
