Kyela District Council Announces 8 Job Vacancies – February 2026
Kyela District Council has officially announced new employment opportunities for qualified Tanzanian citizens following formal approval from the President’s Office – Public Service Management and Good Governance. Through a recruitment notice dated 20 February 2026, the council is inviting applications for eight (8) vacant positions within its administration.
Under this announcement, six (6) Driver Grade II positions and two (2) Office Management Secretary Grade II positions are available. Eligible applicants who meet the prescribed qualifications are encouraged to carefully review the requirements and submit their applications through the government’s electronic Recruitment Portal within the stated deadline.

Positions Available
As confirmed in the official notice, Kyela District Council Announces 8 Job Vacancies distributed as follows:
- Driver Grade II – 6 Posts
- Office Management Secretary Grade II – 2 Posts
All appointments will be made in accordance with Public Service regulations and established salary scales.
Driver Grade II (6 Positions)
Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be required to:
- Inspect vehicles before and after trips to ensure operational safety
- Transport staff to various official assignments
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance
- Deliver and distribute official documents when required
- Maintain accurate journey records in the logbook
- Ensure vehicle cleanliness at all times
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by the employer
Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Possess a Certificate of Secondary Education (Form IV)
- Hold a valid Class C or E driving license
- Have at least one year of accident-free driving experience
- Present a Basic Driving Course certificate from VETA or another government-recognized institution
Salary Scale: TGS B
Office Management Secretary Grade II (2 Positions)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Selected candidates will be responsible for:
- Typing letters, reports, and confidential documents
- Receiving visitors and directing them appropriately
- Maintaining records of appointments, meetings, and official schedules
- Managing files and retrieving documents as required
- Receiving and distributing files within departments
- Preparing meeting notes and necessary documentation
- Compiling office supply requirements
- Performing other duties assigned by the employer
Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Hold a Certificate of Secondary Education (Form IV)
- Possess a Diploma (NTA Level 6) in Secretarial Studies from a recognized institution
- Demonstrate shorthand proficiency in Kiswahili and English at 80 words per minute
- Be proficient in computer applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, Email, and Publisher
Salary Scale: TGS C
General Conditions
Applicants must meet the following conditions:
- Be a Tanzanian citizen aged between 18 and 45 years
