The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, through the Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA), has officially announced the completion of the first-phase selection of candidates admitted to short-term vocational skills courses under the Youth Entrepreneurship for the Future of Food and Agriculture (YEFFA) program. This announcement marks a significant step in expanding access to practical skills training aimed at supporting youth participation in food and agriculture-related entrepreneurship.

Overview of the YEFFA-Supported VETA Admissions

The selection exercise targeted applicants seeking admission into short-term vocational training courses offered by VETA. The training is delivered under the YEFFA initiative, a program funded by Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA). According to VETA, the first intake has now been finalized, confirming the candidates admitted to participate in this phase of the program.

Successful candidates have been selected to attend training at the following VETA colleges:

1. VETA Kihonda
2. VETA Mpanda
3. VETA Manyara
4. VETA Arusha (Oljoro)

These institutions will host the first cohort of trainees under the YEFFA-supported short-term skills development program.

All candidates admitted to VETA short-term courses through the YEFFA program are required to report to their respective colleges on 26 January 2026. VETA has confirmed that training activities will also commence on the same date, ensuring an immediate start to the learning process upon reporting.
